Kat Von D Beauty’s Most Requested Product Returns: Review of #SaintAndSinner VoxBox

Following an 8-year hiatus from beauty store shelves, Kat Von D Beauty‘s most requested product of all time has returned and fans are getting a resurrection thanks to Influenster.

Earlier this summer, I received the Saint + Sinner Voxbox complimentary from Influenster, which features two of Kat Von D’s Saint and Sinner fragrances in the deluxe 5 ml size. I’ve been wearing these floral noted scents off and on for a month now, but have found myself a bit on the fence as I only really like one of the scents more than the other.

Entering a world of complementary contradiction: light and dark, vulnerable and empowered, Saint and Sinner lets women discover the only fragrances that celebrate the two sides within all of us. And let’s be honest, “he who cast the first stone” and all that business, because we’ve all got a little bit in us.

Wearing them both over these humid summery weeks, I’ve grown accustomed to Saint. Both dreamy and romantic, this poetic scent is perfect for day wear. It’s candied floral fragrance is alluring and is a smooth classic floral with vanilla and jasmine. It’s a scent I see being perfect for every day too, especially since it’s light and airy, an asset for those warm summer evenings. Sinner on the other hand, is warm and spicy with notes of cinnamon and patchouli. It’s got a very dark and sultry scent that comes off a bit overpowering at times, yet fearless with its velvety deep nuances. That said, it’s a bit too much for me. Over the course of a day, I got a bit grossed out by the scent as it felt too stuffy, especially in the heat. Moreover, it’s definitely not a scent for everyone as it comes off very strong in its after effect and not complementary of my own style and persona.

While I will definitely be wearing Saint until the end of summer and well into the cooler months of autumn and winter, the two sister-scents can be layered together for those who want to be daring, thanks to a similar base scent full of floral notes. Both fragrances can be found at Sephora or Kat Von D Beauty.
