J’adore BITE Beauty: Review of #TheLipPencil VoxBox

From matte liquid lipsticks to sheer washes of color, lip products are perennial favorites for so many fashionistas because they can instantly change your look with minimal effort. While some brands focus on a full range of cosmetics, BITE Beauty is one that really stands on its own for doing one thing really well: lipstick.

Earlier this month, Influenster sent me the #TheLipPencil VoxBox from BITE Beauty and obviously, I was very excited. It’s lipstick for crying out loud! While I never experimented with their collection of lipsticks and pencils prior to receiving this package, it really piqued my interest. I love adding new lipsticks to my collection for a look that is bold, complementary to my mood and definitely one of a kind. (more…)

Unwinding with #OrvilleCWC This Winter: Review of ‘Caramel & White Cheddar Popcorn’

Last month I was lucky enough to not only relax at home with family and friends for the holidays, but was given the opportunity to taste test the latest Orville Redenbacher creation treat care of Influenster Canada with the Orville Redenbacher VoxBox. As a huge fan of popcorn (and the beautiful city of Chicago), you can imagine my excitement when Orville’s latest concoction was a gourmet bag inspired by the famous “Chicago Mix,” featuring a blend of caramel and white cheddar popcorn.

I’ve tried plenty of popcorn companies and Orville is one I seriously love. The combo of sweet, buttery caramel and savory cheddar is very well done, and one that blends perfectly for a snack that is super addictive and the quintessential accent to your couch potato day. Throughout my journeys to the Midwest, the “Chicago Mix” has been a favorite among so many for the mere fact that the two very different flavors help to satiate two cravings at once. The two flavors together might sound a little awkward, but it’s totally awesome as the flavors play on the sweet and salty really well, with a sort of nutty finish. It’s super rich in its flavor, and the perfect accent to a lazy weekend with a Blue Moon or crisp rosé wine. I love that it was also a super fun treat for the holidays too! I can see this being passed around at parties or just a night in with movies.

I definitely recommend it, especially if you are looking for a great snack to complement your sweet tooth without over indulging. Orville Redenbacher’s Caramel and White Cheddar Gourmet Popcorn is now available at your local grocery store and totally ready to eat.

Influenster Unboxing Video for #BioreBakingSoda VoxBox

What a month it’s been! Between all the traveling back and forth before, during and after spring break, I finally got a chance to edit and upload the video I filmed at home for the Influenster Biore Baking Soda VoxBox. Seriously, what a month March has been. Thankfully, just a few more days and it’s over. This girl’s been super busy filming news stories all-month long for my journalism classes, so filming this little unboxing-review-thing (in addition to hanging out with friends, family and David Cook over the spring break) was a welcomed distraction. Today I got around to uploading it to YouTube, so check it out if you want to see me unbox some awesome items. I wish it could have been more exciting with confetti and wine, but alas, when you’re home with the folks, you get the drift.

Be sure to check out the review here (and of course, the grand unboxing video here). Again, it’s such a great product and I highly recommend it. Biore does not disappoint.

Clean Slate for #BioreBakingSoda: Review of Bioré Baking Soda VoxBox

Last month, Influenster sent me the Bioré® Baking Soda VoxBox much to my surprise because I am a huge Biore fan! It was as if Influenster knew I wanted to try this product out for months so receiving the package in my mailbox felt like Christmas all over again. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been a huge social media enthusiast. I have a few friends who continue to cringe at social media’s progression and every network popping up because they believe it’s more of a voyeuristic aspect to living than anything else. From throwing excuses like, “my friends are not on this network” to “I don’t want people to know what I’m doing”, such reasons for not wanting to partake in social media show an interesting level of shortsightedness. If we look at social media from an objective and realistic point of view, not only can you reap the benefits of connecting with like minds and generating a discussion, but help to market genuine products through honesty.
